NODE CARDINA - .glitchkill - 05-14-2022

This thread discusses all services hosted on CARDINA.
This node is deemed NON-SENSITIVE.

Currently all services available are:
  • Jellyfin (This is the main service hosted on this node, and all updates of the service are posted here)
  • Pterodactyl (Non-public, this implies that the node is used for administrating servers to be added here in future)
  • EasyGate

RE: NODE CARDINA - netkas - 05-14-2022

Is there a possibility with the Jellyfin setup to add additional content that is from Serverchan using a folder mount or something?

As far as I know it is possible to connect a new library using a web folder. Something like SMB could probably work.

As far as I know it is possible to connect a new library using a web folder. Something like SMB could probably work.

But that would require a VPN connection since exposing SMB ports is not a possibility for some reason.

Unfortunately so. It works a bit like Windows's Web folders (\\192.168.1.1, for example). So it shouldn't be SMB in particular, but something different. Maybe NFS?

I have never tried NFS, but i hear it's a pain in the ass to configure; however in the other hand creating a VPN profile is no problem whatsoever. It's up to your end to determine how you are gonna mount SMB mounts with a VPN, perhaps a docker container? but I don't think it will work that well.

But in this case i think a SSHFS mount would be better as it's already being used for other things in Centria.

I'll have a look at it later. What content do you wish to add?

Everything under the Media folders from the disks that are available on Serverchan.

Whats about Webdav with SSL ? So, you aren't dependent on VPN at all

Isn't WebDav a bit slow?
